Product Details

 

Q: How is Dispatch different from ForeFlight Mobile? 

A: ForeFlight Mobile is the Integrated Mobile App complement to Dispatch.  Dispatch is a web-based application with advanced, multi-user, schedule-to-mobile flight planning functionality that operates in sync with ForeFlight Mobile.  

Q: How will I login to the integrated solution?

A: Your user accounts in both systems will be managed separately and, once authenticated, you will be able to move between the applications seamlessly using links embedded in both applications.

Q: How does the flight plan integration between Forge and Dispatch work?

A: As a part of your onboarding experience, ForeFlight will generate and send an API Key unique to your account that Honeywell will add to your Forge account to activate the integration.

Q: Do I have to purchase ForeFlight Dispatch to work with this new offering from Honeywell and ForeFlight?

A: The integrated Honeywell and ForeFlight experience will only be available through ForeFlight Dispatch, though both companies will continue to offer their products and services separately.

Q: Can I use ForeFlight Dispatch as my scheduling system?

A: ForeFlight Dispatch is not a scheduling system – it integrates with a number of third-party scheduling.

Q: Which scheduling applications are integrated with Dispatch?

A: We support integrations with Seagil BART, PFM Ops Console, and Leon, with more in development, including FlightDocs and Tripplanning.biz

Q: What types of information does the GoDirect Portal display?

A: The Forge Portal displays information related to Cabin Connectivity, database version control, flight plans created in Dispatch, a map and list showing fleet location and status, and datalink messages.

Q: Will I be able to see my connectivity status on the ForeFlight mobile app?

A: No. Your data link/connectivity status will be shown on the GoDirect Portal and the Honeywell FMS display.

Q: What Honeywell devices will be integrated with ForeFlight Mobile?

A: We are planning to support the GoDirect Router (GDR), Aspen Connected Gateway (CG100), Aircraft Data Gateway (ADG-300), and other Honeywell devices in 2H 2020.

 

Pricing, Contracts, & Billing

 

Q: What difference will I notice in my Honeywell billing?

A: Flight Planning will be removed from your Honeywell bill and will be billed for separately by ForeFlight

Q: How are the agreement terms handled between my Honeywell and ForeFlight services?

A: Your services will be set up with Honeywell and ForeFlight individually.

Q: Will I only have one combined invoice for my Honeywell services that includes the ForeFlight Mobile/Dispatch applications?

A: No. You will pay Honeywell directly for Honeywell GoDirect services and pay ForeFlight directly for the mobile subscriptions and the ForeFlight Dispatch program.

Q: What are my payment options for ForeFlight Dispatch?

A: You can pay via credit card or invoice.

Q: How will I manage my payments for ForeFlight Dispatch?

A: You can manage your payments and receipts within Dispatch at https://plan.foreflight.com/account.

 

SUPPORT & ONBOARDING

 

Q: Will I get to trial Dispatch?

A: Yes. As a part of the onboarding process, you will have the ability to trial Dispatch while using GoDirect Flight Planning.

Q: Will I need to share my fleet information?

A: ForeFlight will create your account with information provided by Honeywell and will ask you for additional information if needed.

Q: How long does it take to get ForeFlight Mobile and Dispatch implemented in my operations?

A: It depends on the size and complexity of your fleet operations, but a typical fleet could take 1-3 weeks from signature to go live.

Q: How much training is required to start using ForeFlight Dispatch?

A: ForeFlight’s Customer Success team provides admin and product training and typically provides training in less than 1 week. The Success team will reach out to schedule your training in your welcome email and all training will be handled remotely.

Q: How will my Honeywell and ForeFlight services be connected?

A: The ForeFlight Success team will activate your tails for PDC/Uplink and send an API key to Honeywell to enable the connection to your Forge dashboard.

Q: How do I setup new users and manage permissions?

A: You can manage your users from the Organization tab in ForeFlight and also in the Forge Admin. Users will have to be maintained separately in each system.

Q: Can I customize the way that Dispatch works for my operation?

A: Dispatch is highly customizable. Information on briefing packets, company routes, operational rules, and other settings is available in the Dispatch Guide and will be covered in your training.
