  • Plan flights with new High Ice Water Content charts in the Imagery tab to identify areas with potentially dangerous levels of ice water at high altitude.
  • The HIWC charts highlight areas more likely to have higher concentrations of ice crystals at 500 millibars (approximately 18,000 ft MSL), which are typically associated with convection in the tropics and subtropics.
  • The new forecast images are available in the Americas, Atlantic, Pacific, and Asia regions within the Imagery tab on both ForeFlight Mobile and ForeFlight Web, and are updated approximately every 30 minutes.
