ForeFlight will now let you know when a step climb is required to reach a planned flight’s final cruise altitude by adding indicators in Route Advisor, Altitude Advisor, and the flight plan filing form. To see where in the flight the step takes place, look in the Navlog’s altitude column. Step climb support is included in ForeFlight’s Premium and Business Performance subscription plans.

Release notes

ForeFlight will now let you know when a planned flight requires a step climb by indicating the initial step altitude below the final cruise altitude on the flight plan form.
Route Advisor will also add a “STEP” marker to any proposed routes that require a step climb.
Check the detailed Navlog on the Flights view to see where each step occurs in the flight.
Step climbs are supported with Premium and Business Performance subscriptions.
