AUSTIN, Texas — October 15, 2026 — uAvionix and Jeppesen ForeFlight today announced that more than 100,000 ForeFlight Sentry-Family ADS-B receivers have shipped, marking a major milestone for the world’s best-selling portable ADS-B receiver family.

Sentry is a Jeppesen ForeFlight product collaboratively designed and manufactured by uAvionix Corporation, bringing together ForeFlight’s industry-leading flight application and pilot experience with uAvionix’s expertise in ADS-B technology, aviation electronics, and manufacturing.

For uAvionix and Jeppesen ForeFlight, the milestone represents a major manufacturing milestone. However, the real significance of 100,000 Sentry receivers isn't the number, it's what those receivers have done in the cockpit and how they have elevated safety.

Pilots have shared countless stories of Sentry providing critical information when it mattered most: from identifying nearby traffic early enough to avoid a potential conflict, to receiving real-time weather information when conditions unexpectedly deteriorated. Pilots have also credited Sentry’s carbon monoxide detection with alerting them to dangerous CO levels before they became a serious threat.

During unexpected equipment failures, Sentry’s built-in AHRS and integration with ForeFlight Synthetic Vision have provided pilots with an independent source of attitude and situational awareness. Pilots have reported relying on these capabilities during vacuum pump failures and other avionics-related issues.

“One hundred thousand Sentry receivers is an incredible manufacturing milestone, but what makes it meaningful are the stories behind those units,” said Shane Woodson, VP Crewed Aviation, at uAvionix. “We’re proud to work alongside Jeppesen ForeFlight to build a product pilots depend on—and especially proud when pilots tell us how a CO warning, traffic alert, weather information, or backup attitude capability helped them safely manage a difficult situation.”

From Sentry to Sentry Plus

The Sentry family has evolved to serve a broad range of pilots, from the original Sentry to Sentry Mini and today’s flagship Sentry Plus.

Sentry Plus combines dual-band ADS-B traffic and subscription-free weather with GPS, AHRS for ForeFlight Synthetic Vision, carbon monoxide detection, an integrated display, more than 20 hours of battery life, and advanced ForeFlight integration. Sentry Mini provides the essentials in a compact package with dual-band ADS-B reception, GPS, and USB-C power.

Across the family, the mission remains the same: give pilots more information, earlier, to help them make better-informed decisions in the air.

100,000 Receivers. One Mission: Safer, More Informed Flight.

From an aircraft hidden from view, to changing weather ahead, to an invisible carbon monoxide threat in the cabin, timely information can fundamentally change the decisions a pilot makes.

More than 100,000 Sentry receivers represent millions of flight hours supported by enhanced traffic, weather, position, attitude, and safety awareness.

The milestone reflects the success of the long-standing collaboration between Jeppesen ForeFlight and uAvionix—and a shared commitment to giving pilots better information to make safer decisions in the air.
