Transition to ForeFlight Mobile

Since the Boeing acquisition of ForeFlight, the Jeppesen and ForeFlight teams continue to build innovative solutions that increase flying safety, efficiency and enjoyment. Moving forward, the Jeppesen Mobile FliteDeck VFR application will be replaced with ForeFlight Mobile.

ForeFlight Mobile offers a powerful combination of features for VFR flying in Europe, including integrated flight planning and filing, interactive weather, data-driven aeronautical maps, state-of-the-art hazard awareness features, document management, avionics connectivity, and so much more.

ForeFlight Mobile Features for Europe

We are actively building and integrating more features from the Mobile FliteDeck VFR product into ForeFlight Mobile to fully support VFR flying in Europe. Graphical NOTAMs

Access graphical depictions of enroute NOTAMs directly on ForeFlight’s map for most of Europe and Turkey. NOTAMs are color-coded based on type and relative severity, and are automatically downloaded when you Pack before a flight.

General Aviation Forecasts (GAFOR)

European subscribers can now access a map layer that displays each day’s GAFOR forecast for France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia. Each GAFOR Region and Route shows up to three forecast periods, with tappable color-coded icons that provide at-a-glance information about each forecast.

High-Resolution Basemap

ForeFlight’s new High Resolution Basemap depicts ground features and cultural elements in much greater detail for improved inflight reference. Notable improvements include more major and minor roads and railroads, more detailed coastlines for rivers and lakes, and terrain peak indicators with associated altitudes. Access the new Cultural Elements and toggle on and off individual basemap elements.

ForeFlight Airport Info Documents

Access helpful information about many airports in Europe with new “Airport Info” documents found in the ForeFlight section of Airport Procedures. These documents include the same Jeppesen-sourced information previously available in Jeppesen Mobile FliteDeck VFR, including airport-specific notes for ground movement, general aviation access, VFR and helicopter procedures, and more.

Important Information for Current Jeppesen Mobile FliteDeck VFR Customers

As of March 15, 2020, Jeppesen Mobile FliteDeck VFR accounts can no longer be converted to ForeFlight Mobile. Jeppesen will provide refunds to existing customers based on the time remaining on their account. Please contact Jeppesen support if you have any questions about your Jeppesen Mobile FliteDeck VFR account.
