Built on Glide Advisor

Emergency Glide Mode is just a tap away during any flight while Glide Advisor is enabled in the Map Settings menu and configured with your aircraft’s best glide speed and ratio. You can also specify glide settings for each aircraft profile in More > Aircraft.

Nearby Airports Highlighted

Emergency Glide Mode clears the map of non-essential elements to focus exclusively on available landing sites. The most promising nearby airports are highlighted based on factors such as distance, runway length, weather, and your estimated altitude upon arrival.

Off-Airport Landing Areas

Even when no airports are within glide range, Emergency Glide Mode helps narrow your options for an off-airport landing. Using high-resolution U.S. Geological Survey data for the contiguous U.S., it highlights “best bet” landing sites to narrow your range of options and help direct your visual scan.
